I am looking to supervise PhD candidates who are interested in joining the School of Geography & Environmental Science, University of Southampton.
Areas of supervision include: urban digitisation and AI; politics of refusal; urban interventions; cultural industries; affect; geographies of negativity; geographical theory. Methodologically, I am specialised in qualitative, archival and creative methods (including film). For a more detailed overview of my specialisms, visit my ‘Writings’ page.
While different funding trajectories can be considered, funding applications would - pending eligibility - likely be made to the South Coast Doctoral Training Programme (ESRC) or Black Futures scheme (University of Southampton). Get in touch with your own project ideas (t.d.c.dekeyser@soton.ac.uk), or take a look at the below project topics.
